Caddisfly is a low cost water testing kit that anybody can operate. It is portable, reasonably accurate, and easy to use on the field.
Caddisfly is also is a complete Quality Information System. Instantly send result to an online map. Download statistical reports. Access data shared by others.
The testing process is easy. Just fill a provided cartridge with the source water and place in the tester unit. The tester unit sends the result to your phone which can then be shared on an online map. Its that simple!
A prototype of the map can be viewed here.
Caddisfly is an Open Source Project to develop a low cost water testing kit.
Test results from various locations will be shared online enabling communities to evolve locally relevant and sustainable systems for better drinking water.
